Neko is a programming language. I myself just found out about it, and it seems that its something I could get into. The files it produces when you compile your own programs are .neko files. So technically, the RPG player (which I assume is made using Neko) is open-source, if kernys ever gives us the code. I don't know how you open those files though.

Whether if there is more game compatibility or not is still a mystery...
